Final text of the French law on the rights of foreigners (Texte adopté n° 683, 18 Feb 2016; promulgated 7 March 2016): multi-year residence cards incl. the passeport talent (art. 17, L. 313-20 7° direct economic investors; L. 313-21 family card), removal of the exceptional economic contribution card (art. 20), controls, removal, asylum and carrier fines, entry-into-force rules (art. 67). Adoption event recorded earlier; this pass added the 4-year maximum card (L. 313-20), the spouse's minimum age of 18 for the family card (L. 313-21), and an event on the removal of the exceptional-contribution card. No investment amount in the law (set by decree). Out of scope: other card categories, fines on carriers and employers, asylum, removal.
