What the document holds
DOF text of the 2012 Lineamientos para trámites y procedimientos migratorios (Secretaría de Gobernación): definitions and general rules, then procedure sheets (fichas) for visas, entry, status changes, regularisation, permanent residence, documents, with fees by reference to the Ley Federal de Derechos (no amounts printed), maximum decision times and validity. In scope: the investor case for temporary residence (shareholding or business fixed assets worth 20,000 days of minimum wage, or business with at least five formal jobs; repeated in arts. 41, 43, 52), the real-estate case (40,000 days), validity (1-3 years on change of status, up to 4 years) and decision times (20 working days). The investor amount was already recorded; real estate, jobs, validity and processing time added. Economic-solvency cases (bank balances of 20,000 days or income of 400 days a month), employment offers, students and invitations are not investment routes and are not recorded. No statistics. Rules restated from other sources are now recorded from this document too (decision 8).
