Statistics — residence decisions by financial year (edition of 5 March 2024)

Earlier edition (5 March 2024, decisions 1 Jul 2013 to 29 Feb 2024) of the same INZ report, 100 pages: criteria by financial year 2013/14-2023/24 (applications p. 3, people p. 6), current year by month 2023-07 to 2024-02 (pp. 10-11), all criteria by nationality and year (pp. 13-36), nationality by substream (pp. 37-100, printed twice). Extracted every cell of the Investor 1, Investor 2 and Active Investor Plus rows (all years incl. 2016/17-2023/24, which this pass adds as this edition's own figures; some differ from the 2026 edition, e.g. Investor 2 approvals 2016/17 401 vs 400, 2019/20 105 vs 107, 2020/21 35 vs 36), the period totals, the eight months, and the 'Investor Category' nationality column (Investor 1, 2 and AIP combined; total 3,747 applications / 12,046 people, equal to the sum of the three criteria rows). Duplicate sorted copies (pp. 69-100) checked identical; month-table totals equal FY2023/24. Everything adds up. Out of scope: other criteria. Pass extract-zeros-b added 926 rows of value 0 for the cells this edition prints as '.', which it uses wherever there were no decisions (it prints no 0 at all in these tables, and approved + declined = total holds with '.' read as 0); all 926 are '.' cells. They cover the Investor 1, Investor 2 and Active Investor Plus rows of the criteria tables (including the AIP years 2013/14-2021/22, before the category existed) and months, and the Investor Category cells of every nationality in the nationality tables (pp. 37-68), including nationalities with no Investor Category decisions. The two rows 'Turkemenistan' and 'Turkmenistan' both map to TKM and are both '.'; neither is stored. With the zeros all tables still add up.
