What the document holds

Oman Ministry of Foreign Affairs news page (29 Sep 2021, unofficial English translation): launch of the Investor Residency Programme by the commerce ministry; applications from 3 October; first 22 cards handed over; minister and OIA chairman quotes; first category (10 years: OMR 500,000 in shares of a joint-stock company or government bonds, or a company employing 50+ Omanis), second category (5 years: assets of OMR 250,000), retirees eligible, no citizenship entitlement; general investment incentives (100% foreign ownership, Invest-Easy portal with 1,500 activities and about 63,000 licences issued 4 Apr-27 Sep 2021). Taken: all programme numbers and rules (22 cards, the two thresholds and the launch event were already in the data; added the 50-employee route and the 10/5-year validity). Not taken (out of scope): Invest-Easy activity and licence counts (general business licensing, not the residence programme). Rules restated from other sources are now recorded from this document too (decision 8).
