What the document holds
Turkey Law 6458 on Foreigners and International Protection, consolidated text (mevzuat.gov.tr, 48 pp.): entry, visas, residence permits (art. 30-49) incl. short-term residence for owners of real property (art. 31(1)(b)) and for investors in the scope and amount set by the President (art. 31(1)(j), added 2016), permit durations (2 years; 5 years for investors), the Ministry setting the qualifying property value (art. 31(6), added 2024), long-term permit after 8 years, absence rule; international protection, administration (out of scope); entry into force (art. 125) and a list of amending acts with in-force dates. The law prints no amounts: the property value and investment amount are set by the Ministry and the President (instruments not stored). This pass proposed two programmes (tur-property-residence, tur-investor-residence) and added 8 rules (permit durations, unset property value and investment amount, 8-year long-term permit and absence rule for each) and 3 events (2014 entry into force, 2016 investor ground, 2024 ministerial property value).
