Turkey's Implementing Regulation of the Law on Foreigners and International Protection (RG 17 Mar 2016, current consolidated text, 27 pp.): entry, visas, residence permits (application procedure: 30-day cure period, 90-day decision, permit 60 days shorter than the passport, health insurance, sufficient means at the net minimum wage), short-term residence (one year per grant; property owners must own a dwelling used as such, co-owning family members may apply, art. 28(3); refusal after more than 120 days abroad in the last year), family, student, long-term (8 years' uninterrupted residence with absence limits), humanitarian and trafficking-victim permits, work permits, deportation, international protection. Earlier pass: the art. 28(3) property-owner condition (no amount). This pass added 9 rules that apply to the property-owner residence: one-year permits, 120-day absence limit, 90-day decision, 30-day cure period, 60-day passport margin, and long-term residence after 8 years with its absence limits (180 days a year, 365 days in 5 years, 6 months at once). Out of scope and not recorded: other permit types, international protection, deportation and visa rules. The investment ground for short-term residence and the property value thresholds are not in this regulation (they are in Law 6458 and other texts).
