What the document holds

ZambiaLII page (capture of 4 Nov 2025) with the consolidated Immigration and Deportation Act 2010 (Act 18 of 2010; commenced 17 Sep 2010; version as amended by Act 19 of 2016 on 7 Jun 2016): definitions, entry, residence permit (s. 20: investor's permit holders eligible after more than three years; dependant age, cessation rules), temporary residence permits, investor's permit (s. 29: prescribed investment or ZDA licence, family employment, minimum citizen employees prescribed, address-change fine), prohibited immigrants, savings (s. 62: self-employment permit holders to convert within six months). In scope: the investor's permit and the residence permit route open to its holders. The Act sets no investment amount (left to regulations). The 2016 amendments shown (s. 20(2)(c), (g), (7)) do not touch the investor provisions. Earlier passes recorded the Act's commencement from the separately stored 2010 Act; this pass added 7 rules (3-year residence eligibility, dependant age, entry deadline, two absence limits, address-change fine, transitional conversion window).
