Where sources disagree

1,313 cases in citizenship by investment where documents give different figures for the same thing: the same country, programme, measure, period and unit.

Disagreements are kept, not resolved. We don’t pick a winner, average the figures or correct anyone. Every figure stays in the data side by side, with its document, the exact words and a label saying what kind of figure it is (a final figure, an early one, a forecast, a budget, a report by someone else…), so you can judge for yourself.

  • Publishers disagree Different publishers give different figures for what happened. (65)
  • Revised by the publisher One publisher changed its own figure for what happened in a later document. (326)
  • Forecast vs outcome A budget or forecast differs from a figure for what actually happened. (870)
  • Two values in one document One document gives two different values, usually under two definitions. (52)

“Figures differ by up to” is the gap between the highest and the lowest figure, as a share of the highest; it is given for revisions and disagreements between publishers, among figures for what happened.
