Bulgarian Citizenship Act, consolidated text on lex.bg (as of DV 55/2026): acquisition by descent, birth and naturalisation (art. 12: 5 years' permanent or long-term residence, language, income, no convictions; art. 13 3-year routes; art. 15 Bulgarian origin; art. 16 special merit or state interest, no amount), loss, revocation, procedure, registers. Arts. 12a and 14a (investor routes) are shown only as repealed (DV 26/2022) with no text, so no investment amounts; transitional provisions of DV 26/2022: pending procedures terminated (§ 7), investor citizens must report investment changes within 14 days and keep investments 2 years (art. 14a) or 1 year (art. 12a) after naturalisation, or naturalisation may be revoked (§ 8, printed twice as § 8 and § 9). Also a 2013 transitional item asking the economy minister to issue the art. 14a(4) ordinance. No statistics. Events (2013 fast-track, 2022 repeal) were already in the data; the holding periods, notification deadline and the ordinary 5-year route now added as terms.
