What the document holds

Budget 2025 policy costings (128 pp.); only p. 104 'Rewards for informants of high value tax fraud' concerns the programme: measure description (over £1.5 million, up to 30%, effective 26 Nov 2025), tax base, behavioural-response costing, Exchequer impact 2025-26 to 2030-31 (+0, +0, +10, +55, +95, +65 £m; all six already recorded as exchequer_yield_forecast). The rest of the document costs other measures and is out of scope. Nothing new added. Rules restated from other sources are now recorded from this document too (decision 8).

About the document

What it covers Costing note 'Rewards for informants of high value tax fraud' (p. 104): effective date and Exchequer impact 2025-26 to 2030-31.

Notes Costings certified by the Office for Budget Responsibility; the yield comes from a behavioural response (more informants), not from rewards themselves.
