ACRC press release of 9 May 2022 (HTML page): five-year review (reports 58,307 with the corruption/public-interest split, 16,147 referred or forwarded, KRW 24.1 billion rewards and awards (already in the data; disagrees with 33.5 billion in the 2 May release), laws covered 284 to 471) and plans: merge the protection and reward rules of five laws into one, move from sliding scales (corruption 4-30%, public interest 4-20%, recorded as rules as stated) to a flat 30% and raise the cap (a plan, not recorded as a rule or event), extend the Public Funds Recovery Act to contracts. Not recorded (outside the reward programme): public-finance payments (883조 원), Public Funds Recovery Act recoveries (1,515억 원; 101억 surcharges), 194 dismissed officials, criminal penalties. Korean amounts: 억 = 100,000,000 and 만 = 10,000. A figure printed with 억 only is recorded in 억 (scale 'hundred million', e.g. 1.6억 = 1.6); one printed with 억 plus 천만/만 (e.g. 2억8천여만) is recorded in units of 만 원 (scale 'ten thousand': 2억8천만 = 28000), as earlier Korean rows do.
