What is left
Correction needed (method rule 10): the three CFCA cases from this release, c-7f9d259d15 (BP Energy), c-0c994b4bdb (Morgan Stanley) and c-5382333e21 (Quest Diagnostics), are stored with whistleblower_link=stated (set by default when the column was added), but the release does not say a whistleblower brought them; they should be not_stated (via the corrections table).
What the document holds
California AG press release, 5 Feb 2026: nearly $2.7 billion recovered for California in 10 years through criminal and civil fraud work, of which nearly $2 billion under the California False Claims Act (already recorded), plus Medi-Cal criminal recoveries (~$740 million), the TRUE tax task force (>$108 million, 120 investigations, 64 felony cases), criminal investigations and charges, Medi-Cal fraud unit funding (FFY2026 grant $77,652,892 and state share $25,884,297) and individual criminal cases: all out of scope (not the CFCA). CFCA content: 1,121 civil investigations in 10 years with nearly $2 billion recovered, three example recoveries (BP Energy $102m, Morgan Stanley $150m, Quest Diagnostics $241m, added as cases with no date and no statement that a whistleblower brought them), SB 799 (sponsored 2025, 'would have' updated the CFCA for tax fraud; not passed, no date: not recorded as an event), and 'Whistleblowers get a share of any recovery' (no percentage). The 1,121 CFCA investigations are not recorded: no indicator fits (they are AG investigations, not whistleblower suits or tips). Decision 10 pass (2026-10-10): no further settlements in the release; the three CFCA cases are already recorded.
